Stampin' Up!'s Modern Heart is All Heart

Today I'm coming to you with three cards I've made with the beautiful new stamp set from Stampin' Up! called "Modern Heart". This is a special stamp set, as it set celebrates Million Dollar Sales Achiever Steffi Helmschrott! Steffi hit it out of the park with this concept, as it combines beautiful sentiments with show-stopping images. The construction of these cards are all fairly straightforward. I heat embossed the heart image and then colored it with different coloring techniques. Then those are popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals, and are accompanied by beautiful embellishments.

For my first card, I've used Flirty Flamingo for the card base, followed by Whisper White and Daffodil Delight. I heat embossed the heart image with gold embossing powder, then colored with Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo, and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends Combo markers. I colored some of our Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon with my Dark Flirty Flamingo Blends marker (yes! you can do that!). I stamped the texture stamp image in Daffodil Delight onto the front of the card, attached the ribbon to the back of the card, then popped up the heart on Dimensionals and attached to the card. Finally, I used just a few gold Metallic Pearls to drive home that flashy gold!

I wanted to add a lot of texture to this second card. I started with the a cardbase in the luxurious new In Color Pretty Peacock. OOH I love it so much! I used watercolor paper for the card front. That has a lot of texture in itself, but I amped it up by embossing it with our new Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder. Yum! Then I colored some of the bricks by using or Aqua Painters and a bit of Pretty Peacock ink from a reinker, mixed with water. I heat embossed the heart on Shimmer White cardstock with Shimmer White Stampin' Emboss Powder. Then I sprinkled just a touch of the beautiful Bermuda Bay Pigment Sprinkles over the image and spritzed with water. Tie a bow with two strands of White Baker's Twine. Stamp the sentiment on a scrap of Shimmery White cardstock, and cut on the bias. Once your heart has dried throroughly, adhere directly to the left side of the heart, then pop all of that up on Dimensisonals. Add your cute bow with a mini glue dot, add some beautiful new 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots (Pretty Peacock, of course) and give to your favorite person.

This final card is in a delicious color combo of purple, gray and black. Love it! The card base is Gorgeous Grape. Start by embossing your heart on Whisper White Thick cardstock with Shimmer Black Stampin' Emboss Powder. I painted this heart with an Aqua Painter and Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather reinkers. Once completely dry, I painted everything with Wink of Stella. It doesn;t show up well in pictures but trust me, it's soo shimmery. I ran a scrap square of Basic Gray cardstock through an embosser with a die from the Stitched Labels. I adhered that to the card front and then stamped my images and sentiment over the front in Gorgeous Grape. Finally I popped up that heart again on Dimensionals, and added some final shine and shimmer with a bow made from the Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon. I like all of the cards but because of the colors, this is my favorite (maybe lol).
