Paper Pumpkin May 2020 Alternates

Oh Happy Day!

My name is Lisa Hardin and I'm an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.  I sell all of the products that have been used for these projects, as well as anything papercraft related you may need.  If you're in the US please contact me for any questions or orders - I'd love to earn your business!

I don't know about you, but I needed something super happy right now.  Enter the May 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit, "A Kit in Color".  This kit features our new 2020-22 In Colors and Purple Posy.  And rainbows, and clouds, and lots and lots of happy.  The kit designs are beautiful but it's always fun to create a few alternates, below are mine.  The construction is straightforward so for most I've only included details of the added products.  Everything else can be found in the kit!

Don't know what a Paper Pumpkin is?  It's a monthly kit subscription that comes direct to you in your mailbox.  It is sometimes cards, sometimes papercraft, always fun!  You can find out more about Paper Pumpkin here and sign up for your own subscription:
https://www.paperpumpkin.com/en-us/sign-up/?demoid=2195733.  It is a great value at $22 plus tax per month, and you can start or stop it at any time.

If you'd like more information or examples of past kits simply contact me.  I'd love to earn your business!

On to this month's cards:

The first is a simple easel card.  I made the easel base out of Just Jade cardstock.   I cut the front off of one of the Just Jade cards in the kit and that is the front of the easel.  I cut the front off of another of the cards and that is the rainbow base.  Then I used two retired punches, 3/4" and 1", to cut little gold "coins".  This is my interpretation of gold falling from the rainbow.  Finally, I embossed the sentiment in gold.

Card Base: 4 1/4" x 11, scored at 5 1/2" and 8 1/4".
Easel Front: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Easel Base:  Bumblebee cut at 4" x 5 1/4", Rainbow card front (from kit) cut at 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"

For this little cutie I used our Whisper White notecard and envelope, but you could also use the notecards in the kit.  The front of the kit notecards is Purple Posy, which you can embrace or cover up!  Here I've paired all the bright colors from the kit a piece of Basic Gray DSP.  The tissue paper is the packaging from the kit.  I stamped the sentiment in Versamark on a scrap of Magenta Madness and die cut it with an oval from the Stitched Shapes dies.

This little guy is also on a notecard from the kit.  Here is another great use for Bruno Bertucci's #scrappystrip technique.  I've used various pieces from the kit for my strips, and for extras I've only had to add one scrap of Whisper White, 3 1/2" x 5", and another scrap of Magenta Madness for the sentiment.

I think it's always fun to make one that looks completely different from the kit, so here it is!
I used a Whisper White notecard and envelope, and added a piece of So Silhouette DSP directly to the front.  Over that I used a piece of vellum included in the kit.  I stamped the "Hey" onto a scrap of Pacific Point, then cut it out with a circle from the Stitched Shapes dies.  I also used some of the fun 3/8" Denim Ribbon.  The other embellishments are from the kit.

I hope you've found some inspiration from these cards.  I've included a shopping list below for the extra supplies.
