Dear Doily, Oh My!
This was fun. It's been in my head all day. I couldn't wait to get my hands on this stamp set, and it did not disappoint!
The construction is pretty straightforward. For the front of the card, I cut the Very Vanilla panel with the 3 3/4" x 5 1/8" rectangle stitched shape. Then I stamped my images. I used a combination of straightforward, single ink pad stamping and multi colored stamping using my sponge daubers. Then I took that single rectangle and laid down the other two rectangle shapes (3" x 4 3/8", and 1 3/4" x 3 1/4") and stuck them down with a Post it. I ran that through the Big Shot all at once. Voila - three panels for my card.
I adhered the outside and inside panels with liquid glue, and the I popped the middle frame up with our dimensional strips. Those are so handy and easy to use!
Finally I stamped the sentiment on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla, and cut out with the smallest circle from the Stitched Shapes dies. I cut out the inside rectangle with the 3 3/4" x 5 1/8" rectangle die, then stamped two of the beautiful images. Finally I added three of the cute new Daffodil Delight, Gingham Gala adhesive backed sequins on the front of the card.
Now here is a fun all-occasion card, ready for giving! I think this stamp set will be so versatile, as it lends itself to any color palette and comes with a beautiful set of dies. Check it out!
